I love the vulnerablity of her voice. These Arms Of Mine sounds so full of emotion.

"That One Blue Candle" is my 2nd favorite Tiff song next to ITWAN.
Dreams indeed never die

Kudos to Tiffany's once producer George Tobin for making this Japanese import available to the masses. I remember buying this back in the day (mind you this was before the internet and imports weren't that easy to come by) and being in awe of Tiffany's voice. A departure from her R&B/New Jack detour, "New Inside", "Dreams Never Die" saw Tiffany going back to a more pop/rock sound that she did so well on her first 2 albums. Her amazing voice is showcased on some lovely ballads like "If Love Is Blind", "Can't You See" and "That One Blue Candle". Never one to shy away from covers, Tiffany takes on Otis Redding's "These Arms Of Mine" and you can just feel her yearning in her throaty delivery. I must say that my favorite song is the country song "Same Loves Joann" which takes Tiffany back to her musical roots, and also is evident in country tinged songs "Kiss You All Over" and "We're The Truth". As an added bonus we are given several demos that were never before released and make this reissue more than worth it. Here's hoping that Mr. Tobin will go out of his way and release a collection of the many B-sides that Tiffany did during her days w/ MCA.
Definitely a Change

Listening to the tracks I'd have to say that Tiffany has a much diverse album this time. Two of the songs I recognize from another artist's album. "Can't You See" and "If Love is Blind" was originally done by a pop group from the early 90's called "pc Quest". I'm glad Tiffany chose to sing these 2 songs. Her voice is perfect for the songs and she makes them her own without taking away from the original versions.
Her country tunes sound more natural for her. This style is one she should stick with and use again in the future.
