Langhorne Slim And The War Eagles

Langhorne Slim is the perfect antidote to modern over-production of sound. There is nothing to disguise here!
Thirteen songs of beauty and brilliance, joy and personality, almost a Bob Dylan meets Shakespeare in thematic and lyrical movement, and Langhorne's ear for melody is unsurpassable.
I have never seen him live, but can only imagine! With this much exuberance and originality leaping off a lo-budget production, one can only expect sheer inspired genius in action.

I liked the idea of the albums when I heard them, but after seeing them Live at The Independent in SF, I couldn't wait to buy up the albums. His energy during performance and candor in between songs are his greatest hooks.

I saw him at my first Monday night open mike at the Sidewalk Cafe in the village in NYC in 99. He knocked us all off our chairs. Set the bar really really frikin' high. 5 bucks for your CD? Hell, yeah, Slim! I still listen to it in fact. ITunes doesn't sell it, maybe because it's pretty rough. This album is much better produced, but it still has that passionate raw joyful feel of his music. See him live.
Slim is DA MAN!

Oh how I remember the days when this fool would wander the grounds of Solebury macking girls and prancing around with his lil flower baby. Now he's all grown up and playing musack the people can dance to...go head and do da damn ting boooy!
It pulled me in right quick

This album is awkwardly and fantastically engrossing! Langhorne Slim's vocal delivery is strangely charming. The entire album is a great listen.
See him LIVE if you can...!

I wasn't completely sold on Langhorne Slim's music until I saw him perform live. His voice is strong, his energy unlimited! He has an incredible talent for entertaining, and he can relate to and read his audience better than possibly any other performer I've seen. Wow!
