  • An outstanding version of a much-recorded tune

This sounds terrific. Personally I would have preferred a purely instrumental version, but that's just personal taste. This track is "smokin'", one might say. This is the hard rock track that did not make it onto the surprisingly soft "Life, Love & Hope". Not sure why it is called "Metal" Gentleman - it does not sound like a metal tune (which is fine), it's just a nice loud rock song.
  • What's Going on with the Sound?!

First of all, it's really stupid for Tom to use real drums on this, but filthy fake drums on the album that everyone waited for. Secondly, this still sounds like crap. There's a weird, staticy sound on the kick drum and the overall mix is very thin. What happened to the Boston sound?
  • Thank you Mr. Scholz.

I think it's funny that you guys are writing to Tom as if he's ganna read it. But what the heck no harm done trying right? Tom I have been a big fan for a long time and it's awesome to hear the same mood you had for your first two albums. I guess people aren't sure about the new album yet though. But I know that you worked hard to please both new AND old Boston fans so thank you. This Metal Gentleman song does sound more like your first two albums than the newest CD for some reason. I think I can understand and appreciate that Life Love and Hope was coming off the passing of your friend though. That said I still really like Life Love and Hope and think it's a big improvement on Corporate America. Almost every song on your first four CDs mean so much to me as a person if that makes sense. The rock and I especially respect how real your lyrics are. They have helped me and times so thank you. Go back aggressive. :)

This song was actually first featured a few year's ago on the Boston website, but only to listen to. This is a re-mixed version of that song, and it sounds better! It has more guitars!! I wish boston could release a full cd with this kind of energy. I still like "Life, Love, & Hope", but this song is truly a gem! Rock fans, you should also check out "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by Dokken. It really smokes!!

It's nice to hear a Boston song with real drums. Too bad that new album doesn't have any.
  • Very Cool

A BIG improvement over love, lies and hope. A much better mix, improved drum sound (still sub par by todays standard ) but most importantly , the feel and energy of the performances is 100 times better ! Boston's heart maybe still beating after all.
  • Finally...

This is Boston. Why in the world would this sound 1000% better than the latest full album?
  • This is what I expect
