One of my favorite albums. Bill Frisell (and the other excellent musicians here) avoid any sense that they're only engaging in an exercise in multiculturalism -- a problem that characterizes a lot of forays into "world music." It feels emotionally genuine. Like a lot of Bill Frisell's work, to me it sounds deceptively humble.

Awesome combination of talented Leisz, Cantuaria, Camera, Scheinman, Govetas, and Frisell- music hybrid that is from the world, but etherial, nearly beautiful beyond what the human condition can handle.
