Happy to hear him return to the sound that made so many fall in love with his music. Last couple albums have been good but heavier than expected. This is a great one.

Being a mason fan for years, and by fan I mean super fan. I have listened to him daily since 2007. This album was not what I expected at first. Took me a few times to listen to it before I found a few songs I really enjoyed. Lonely street, wilderness and just try are my favorite songs. Typical mason to start and end with his best work. Only thing I wish there was more was just mason and his piano, or guitar playing his great music. I will always support the greatest singer song writer of all time. And looking forward to seeing him for the 4th time live when he tours. I'm still trying to warm up to his album but it is hard to follow up to the masterpiece Minnesota. And blood of man. 2 or masons best works. This still is a must buy in my opinion. Like I said, Mason is the greatest.

Mason 100% stands the test of time. Wilderness, Rainboots, Instrument and Number of the Sun are my immediate favorites. The whole cd is a delightful listen, already played it straight through 4 times since yesterday! Buy and enjoy!

Love the backup vocals/haromonizing. I look forward to every new Mason album and once again no disappointment. Love the topics and themes of the album. Very poignant lyrics and Mason always seems to be able to sing about the most delicate of topics but in the most careful and beautiful way.
