This album brings back memories of college days. Before going to parties or the clubs, so many people played this album to get "pumped up." Hammer was a force when this album debuted. I recall going to a concert where he was the headliner and after he performed people left the concert not caring to see the next act -- a minor R&B group. Some people criticized Hammer and many considered him not a true rapper, but MC Hammer was a force because no one saw rappers dancing on stage like he did in concert! When he gave a show, it was a great one and well worth the money.
If you want to hear some old school hip hop/rap that was danceable, sounded good in the club on a great sound system, this is it! I bought this on vinyl the first time.
