Another critics' darling, nobody wants to admit it's boring. I own a lot of Eno, and I know he piddles around quite a bit. He's surely capable of creating pure heavenly beauty, it's just that he often falls short. My favorite piece of music ever is his An Ending (Ascent) with his bro and Lanois. In the past he's done Carrier with Byrne, and recently Enough with Fred again... Airports is very nice, but it would best serve as a foundation for more. Check gorgeous Grey Promenade by Roger Eno for what should be played in airports.

This is by far, one of the best ambient albums ever produced. The simplicity of 1/1 and the haunting, yet calming nature of it has been there for me in moments of introspection and in times of silent gratitude. A beautiful album, and definitely a timeless beauty.

This is timeless sound to shut out the noise of our chaotic world. Instantly calming for me.

Fantastically calming, beautiful music, and the best of all the Ambient albums IMO. My husband introduced me to this long before we got married, back in college. It got me to sleep at night, kept me company when we spent a year apart, and became a necessity on red-eye flights. I prefer it over white noise, brown noise, meditation music, all of it. This is better than all of that.

A must-have recording for a number of reasons, mostly the sheer ingenuity of the four pieces. 1/1 is meditative & heady while 2/2 evokes the emotions of a loved lost.

I fell asleep to this music every night for years back in the ’80’s. So glad you still carry it!

I’ve been listening to this since it came out in the late 70’s. Very calming.

This album is ambient 101, musically and as a term, since Eno coined the term for this album. Apparently designed to calm travelers at airports, but it works to create a meditation mood in any context.
