Reviews

  • My third favorite Newsboys album

This album marked one of the biggest turning points in the band’s history, as co-lead singer, John James, departed from the band. This left drummer and lead singer, Peter Furler, the last remaining original member of the band and he ultimately had percussionist, Duncan Phillips, take over the drum kit. This album has a cluster of great songs, they haven’t made any particularly bad songs from 1992-2009 but there are a few that I am not the biggest fan of, but they are still decent. My favorites are: Whoohoo, Step Up To The Microphone, Entertaining Angels, Believe, Truth Be Known, Hallelujah, and Always. Though this album once held the title of being my all-time favorite Newsboys album, I discovered some flaws in this album, I noticed that Steve Taylor only wrote two songs in the entire album and he didn’t produce it either. Due to these minor flaws, I had to dethrone this album as my all-time favorite album but it still sits in third place. Update: I moved my top ten to Take Me To Your Leader.

If you don’t know what the title means, it means that this is album 2 of 4 that I still love and listen to today. This is yet another great Newsboys album that they brought to us! Sure, John James may have left, but that meant Peter went on vocals full time! Definitely a classic Newsboys album to buy! Favorites: ALL OF THEM!!!

Every album starting from go and back was when they were in their prime. Their lyrics and music had originality that made them Different from every other band. You don't here other bands like the newsboys with peter furler anymore. They were part of the big bands era. ever since peter left their style changed completely to something that is not the newsboys 2015 will be they're 30th anniversary
