After listening to this record for nearly sixty years, my opinion of it has not changed. Not being in the least hyperbolic in my assessment, I remain astonoshed how it still flies under the radar for some Jazz listeners, for it is surely a masterpiece on so many levels of appreciation. While not a 'cult' classic, it was always more appreciated by musicians than the general audience. A friend, who years ago studied in Austria with the great trumpeter Art Farmer, said this one of Farmer's favorite records. and so it remains one of mine.
