I can't believe there is not a single review of this man's masterpiece album unitl now. This is the album that bridges the amazing work of Michael Hedges into the land of modern and contemporary fingerstyle guitar. Don Ross is considered by many to be the Grandfather of the movement and this album his crowning acheivement. It has been listed by Andy Mckee and Antione Dufour as a "must have" album for those who like this kind of music. I would tend to agree. Ross' technique on this album is mind blowing. You have open F tuning songs like Berkeley Springs that have the lively vibe of folk Americana and then you have deep groove songs like Tight Trite Night. Strong melodies and gorgeous harmonies aided by grooving, percussive bass lines and you solo instrumental music worth listening too that never gets boring.
