This is like a dream come true. I love it when someone or a group redoes an established song from someone else (a cover). This is an entire album of covers by Rick Springfield and its a great listen.

Rick is a great songwriter. Was skeptical at first that he was doing covers but he did them all justice!
GR8 just got better!

Congratulations Rick. It is a joy to hear some of your favorite songs performed by one of your favorite artists. Rick's whiskey over sandpaper voice does absolute justice to these soulful, hearfelt songs. And I enjoy covers that are just that, covers. Rick stays true to the original formula that made these songs fabulous. You can sing along and not miss a beat.
Check out Rick's newest album, Venus in Overdrive. It rocks!!

For all of you General Hospital Fans, and especially the ones who think Rick is just a pretty face...This album is the culmonation of a career of one of the most underrated performers and singer/songwriters in the modern era. I've always been a fan, but this is the most mature and without a doubt Rick's finest!!!
Enjoyable

Truth be told, I prefer his originals over the cover songs, but this CD is still an enjoyable listen. My favorites on this change with my moods, but overall I like his version of I'm Not In Love, Let's Go Out Tonight, and of course his one original on this "Cry." Imagine is a tough re-do for anyone, but I give Rick an "A" for effort on this Lennon classic.
clever title ; so-so album

Somewhat of a disappointment following his last release which is excellent. Springfield's strongsuit has always been his songwriting and musicianship, not his vocal skills. On this album his vocals are a major liability as he attempts to interpret songs written by others. Let's hope he never attempts an album of standards aka Rod Stewart. On the plus side, he still looks great.
Listen to this cd every day!

I love this CD! Rick's arrangements are near the originals, so you still love your favs, but his own style is so wonderful - I love some of the songs better than ever. It's great to enjoy a glass of wine, relaxing, unwinding in the evening, on a
plane or anytime....great choices. His rendition of "Life in a Northern Town" is amazing - reason enough to buy this cd and you'll appreciate "Under the Milky Way" and "Human" and "For No One" as well. Very cool cd and gift.
I love this CD

It's a nice mix of songs you wouldn't normally hear, done his way. Nice easy listening for the office, a long drive, or soaking in a hot bath.

I was very impressed after listening to this collection/arrangement of 80's tunes. I saw Rick Springfield perform these songs, along with many others, during a 2+ hour concert last year. He has non-stop energy, an amazing voice, and an incredible sense of humor! "Shock/Denial/Anger/Acceptance" is a must-purchase, as well!
