On my maiden trip to New York City as the first holiday I did without parental supervision, I came home with Bette Midler's debut, Eddie Kendrick's "People....Hold on", David bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" and Bobby's "Understanding".
The passion in "I Can Understand It" was a key example of a great message song to dance to. Throughout the years, I liked songs like "Woman's Got to Have It", "Nobody's Knows You When You're Down and Out", etc.
He had a special talent and soulfulness. He will be missed by those who know.
