Kitty Hawk

Truthfully told. Like many people I found this artist via "Fear the Walking Dead" and KI's beast cover of "Stand by Me". I bought the full album and gave it my full attention in it's entirety a few times. While there are a few stand out tracks, unfortunately the album is plagued with reoccurring melodies, song structures, post production tricks and it is difficult to discern one song from another. However I do enjoy the fusion of rock themes and electronica and the their style is refreshing in small doses. The songs would do well in a well versed playlist, giving the listener a fresh breath, otherwise the ears become worn and weary from an overuse of too familiar rhythms and themes.

I see most reviews are just for the Stand By Me cover but let me assure you, the entire album is great. Every song hits the right emotion at all the right moments with such precision. I look forward to more albums to come. Seriously, very impressed.

Genius. A rather sappy song has been turned into a masterpiece. The best cover of anything, ever. Scarily perfect.

Killed that 'stand by me' !! No one has done that yet.

I'm an avid music hunter. I'm always trying to find new styles of music that no one really knows about, and are just simply amazing. I got this album as soon as it was released from Ki:Theory and I had just started following the band originally when I heard the sample of "Kitty Hawk" on the teaser trailer for "Leave a message" (all girl surfing video). Over all, the entire album is awesome. It's difficult for me to truly love an entire album as now a days since there only seems to be a couple of songs that really stand out, and the rest are forgetable. I highly recommend picking up this album as it has a variety of different styles. I also recommend checking out Ki:Theory's "HOWVERYDARE you make a TRONMIXTAPE." That album is an epic piece of work as well. =)

I found out about this band after watching The Following. After listening too their other songs I knew I had to own this album!

I heard the song "stand by me" at the end of The Originals(plug) and I was blown away! I absolutely blown away!
