Great Introduction to Fathead!

I saw David Newman live at the Iridium in New York last month and he played 2 songs from this short-but-sweet compilation: Hard Times and The 13th Floor, which are two great songs. If you're a Ray Charles fan and just starting to get into Fathead's grooves, then "The Best of David Newman," which spans from 1958-1970, is a great first buy. I was happy with every song. Newman is a great saxophonist and flutist - what he calls a "saxopholist."
