Good vocals, average Country music

Though i'm a fan of Adkins' vocals for this genre (I like a deep Toby Keith-like voice for Country music), I would describe both him and this album as definitely not bad, but very average. Dangerous Man has a couple decent country songs, but even at it's best there's nothing very special going on here. The title track is the best song on the album and the second best song in his catalog overall behind Hot Mama, but even those two songs are only a pretty good 3 star quality.
The album mostly consists of 2 star songs. They're keepable, but not something i want in heavy rotation. Swing, for instance, is both catchy and annoying. I like it, but i wish i didn't.
Overall the edgier ones like Dangerous Man and Southern Hallelujah are much better than the slower and/or more traditional Country tunes. There's one 3 star song (Dangerous Man) and five 2 star songs. The rest are throwaways.
