Unbelievable how this band continues to crank out relevant music. Terri Nunn's voice is brilliantly iconic and if you have never seen this band live, do yourself a favor and GO. The video for Animal is amazing too. Nicely done Berlin!!!!

If you are into electronic dance music or high energy rock/pop, you need to play the preview of Animal. Perfectly produced. New music that makes me want more from Berlin. Hope to see them in concert. I hope some radio station takes a chance and plays this song.

Berlin show how age is no obstacle to producing feel good music. The songs on this album may not be 80s style but are a more modern version built for the 10s. Love listening to it and can't wait to see them perform live with some of the classics thrown in.

This record has been something I've witnessed personally from it's infancy and typically I do not listen to Berlin at home or in the car, being that I hear it constantly live and in my husbands studio. I've been around these guys for 4 years now and have heard everything live more times than I can count. That being said, Animal has turned me from drummer's wife into a legit dancing screaming fan lol! Terri's voice gets better with time and she needs no studio magic! Terri, along with Carlton, Dave and Chris are ELECTRIC on stage. The whole vibe just works, especially if you love to dance!! I highly recommend adding this to your library. Favorite songs: Secrets, Blame it on the world, Don't make me regret it.
A Departure Or A Return to Roots?

This is a good CD, know that. However, the songs are a departue from the more guitar driven rock songs featured on Voyuer, 4-play, and the live CDs. This CD is house-styled dance music with waves of heavy synth. It could be called a return to the early Berlin days when they focused on dance music. Teri Nunn has a great singing voice and can belt out powerful lyrics. Most songs on Animal have her singing in a soft, lilting voice. The only rocker on the CD is the cover of Somebody to Love (a great song, though I prefer the live version). There are also a few ballads. This CD will go over well at your next rave or house party, but if you are looking for rockier Berlin, go to their live show.

This is a very good album! Terri Nunn and the rest of Berlin have delivered a very strong record that is sure to blow your mind and leave you wanting more. Every track on this album is strong, there is no filler at all. The hooks are very catchy and you'll find yourself singing along to them all day. This album just makes you feel good, it puts you in a great mood. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some amazing ear candy and buy Animal!

Terri creates a high energy collection of songs that incorporates elements of modern electronic dance music and Berlin's trademark melodies. It's not often that you listen to an album once and can recall the hooks from each song. Several songs standout as radio ready hit singles, Animal, Don't Make Me Regret It, Nice To Meet You and With The Lights On. Also, Secrets is a funky, sexy song and Stand Up is a mid tempo anthem. The ballads are great too led by Its The Way and Mom. Terri is truly singing at her best and as sexy as ever. It will be an injustice if this album doesn't see some success.
