Bonnie is truly talented and I know how it is to want to branch out and be amazing. And this song def works for her. It's catchy as hell and was kinda big. But that young vixen image is silly. She looks older than she's portraying and that just looks tacky. I get she's trying to go for an 80's vibe but get real. Package your work better. Katy is candy coated but she still acts her age.

This has been my favorite summer song for 2 years now best summer song.

Out to lunch and heard a song on the speakers. It was so singularly bad I decided to Shazam it to see who it was, Bonnie McKee singing 'American Girl.' Yeesh. This sounds like 90s Shania Twain pop crossed with Katy Perry----not in a good way. So awful. I nearly never write reviews for songs I buy and have NEVER...I repeat NEVER sought out a song just to leave a bad review. This was just that bad.
