I hardly ever review music, but I can't help but share some praise for this mix, as it's in a class of its own-- head and shoulders above any of the Anjunadeep mixes before or after it (from Vol. 1 to 7, thus far). This music is meant for the night, and you'll feel it as you listen. It takes hold, and continues to flow like a stream all way through, for 2.5 hours. Like wine, this album just gets better with time; I had this album for a couple of years before I really discovered it. Unlike most of the Anjunadeep mixes, the forgettable tracks are not the obnoxious type that tempt you to immediately skip them; instead, they merely don't measure up to the better tracks, which are unforgettable (Let Go, Way You Know, Kuza, Coming For You, Only You, and Move Into Tokyo Dawn, to name a few). This is to say, there are several strong individual tracks, but the ambient atmosphere that the entire mix conjures is something that no other mix achieves to quiet the same level. Listen to it on a night in the town, or as you fall asleep. Go ahead and buy the whole thing; previewing the album doesn't do it justice, and it's a ton of MUSIC for the price.
I haven’t felt this good since the very first Anjunadeep release!

I love all of the Anjunadeep releases, but the first one always held a special place with me because the music is so classy and timeless. I get that same exact feeling with Anjunadeep 5. The songs are amazing, the mix is beautiful, and it features two legends. Do yourself a favor and buy this incredible mix.

Too much house...

The listener who is used to Anjunadeep's intelegent, original, and progressive sounds may find this album to be more like a run of the mill house / dance compilation. Sadly only a few of the 30 plus tracks are good and stand out as what I have come to expect from Anjunadeep. I hope they do not go down the path of forgetable house music.

I have all Anjunabeat albums, and I really think this is my favorite!! Such a beautiful ride when listing to the album all the way through. You find yourself checking the name of each song. So beautiful and easy on the ear.
