Climbing Uphill

This is really great. Actually amazing. My personal favorite is Ready or Not but all the others are stellar as well… Please don't stop writing. More music! Feed the masses!

Firstly, I know both of these girls from high school and sang with them in a'cappella and musical productions- point is: these are their voices, no auto-tuning, no compression, no pop "makeovers" - and i LOVE it. Too few (female) artists these days let the beautiful impurities of their vocals get washed away in editing, not so for Eva and Maisie. In fact, my favorite thing about this album is how well the simple songs just let their voices shine, it's really awesome! Climbing Uphill is filled with sweet vocals that gave me tingles and shivers again and again.They might be young but The Project possesses so much potential in their commitment to writing their own music and performing with total, clear, honest and pure expression. Only thing I would say is watch the tempo- I noticed a few rhythm inconsistencies, minor details though compared to quality of sound overall. Can't wait for more - truly! xoxo - Rose C.
