Wow. Beautiful material, I have this CD looped. Opening tune by Ashley Bathgate just knocks me out every time. She's quite a stunning cellist. Rest of the band isn't bad either.
delicate yet deep

Bill Ryan's new disc gives a compelling case that compositionally sophisticated attention to detail can coexist with emotional purity. This music is highly affecting - elegant in it's architecture, flawlessly performed, and mastered to perfection. Super highly recommend.
absolutely addictive

Gorgeous post-minimalist compositions, beautifully played and recorded. It sounds innocent enough on the first couple of hearings, but soon starts to take over your player. A friend of mine told me she listened to it on "endless loop" the other morning.
not bad but pretty slight

Pleasant enough stuff but somewhat anaemic in invention. This kind of minimalist navel-gazing sits somewhere between the comatose dreck of Ludovico Einaudi and the small-but-perfectly-formed cuteness of Michael Torke. I guess I'll play it as background music while I work. Excellent recording.
Lovely
