Talbot is Fantastic

I would just like to say that Mr. Talbots work here is amazing. A rich landscape of texture and sound. Moments of lush dizzying fairground atmosphere, and the underlying clockwork syncopation as a theme motivates everything, enriches the story. Anyone paying any attention to contemporary classical, film scoring and Ballet should be buying this album. I think its fantastic that the English National Ballet is commissioning new work. Everything about this production is clever. Kudos to Wheeldon, and the unparalleled Bob Crowley on design. The use of Puppets where useful and appropriate is exactly the direction live performance must head to capture the imagination of newer younger audiences. Please bring this production to New York! Talbot certainly has his own distinct style, but fans of Danny Elfman will hear a musical kinship.
