ok so this album is THE fastest, wowee, i dont even know how to describe it( i bet the drummer had fun doing these songs! lol). BUT AFTER 5 MINUTES OF LISTENING TO IT MY HEAD HURT FROM DOING THE HEADBANG!!!
no joke..............really...............im sitting here listening 2 "no way out" right now....oh wait its over now, now its 7th of last month. BUT ANYWAY! ive always been a fan of the goo goo dolls (well only since ive heard about them) but i had never listened to the older albums, and man, did it make me think of the goo goo dolls in a TOTALLY different perspective. i mean WOW! ok well i better stop talking cuz i might get into a longer conversation SO! seriously, buy it. now.

this is the googoo doll's thrird album. if you like this you chould get hold me up but dont waste your time on the previos albums. the second one runs for like $70 because back then it sucked so bad they didnt make many copys. imagine the first album.

Dizzy Up the Girl maybe great but Jed is probably my favorite. Even though I was only a year old when it came out I grew up listening to this underground college rock. If soft adult alternative is not your thing try this a discover the darker side of the Goo Goo Dolls.

It's OK, but I like their sound better now. Still...these are classic Goo tunes.
Now we need you to get their FIRST album on here. I personally would love to see digital copies of some of those tunes appear on here. Esp. my very fave one...."Don't Beat My *** With A Baseball Bat"....which is actually a true story....(right, Rob?).....but we won't go there....AAAAhahahaha!

"Out of Sight" and "Up Yours" are the standout tracks on this LP.
Two of the tracks have their titles reversed. "Em Elbmuh" and "Artie." "Artie" is the one where you can hear them griping at their then-manager Artie Kwitchoff. It's a bit tongue-in-cheek. The band did later replace him with bigger/better-known management, but did retain him for their Buffalo bookings, and when they'd come to town you'd often see him with the band.
The track James Dean got a bit misconstrued by some folks, the band explained it and later did some AIDS benefits to shake the anti-gay tag. Interestingly enough, this was where they got some of their first mentions in the press. So the acoustic joke at the end of the record actually played a bit of a part in them getting where they are now.
Another historical footnote, "Sex Maggot" is from the name of Johnny's earlier band.

This is not the Goo Goo Dolls that get played on the radio, it's better. I found a promo vinyl copy of this in our bins when I worked college radio in the 80s, "the GOO GOO DOLLS???! WTF?" The name was too wierd not to hear what it was, " WOW, this is great stuff". A few months later got that same promo autographed when they played a small club in OKC. Unfortunately, thier last true album was Boy Named Goo, pretty much down hill after that. But if you want to hear the good stuff this album is a must.
