Kronos Quartet's Winter Was Hard offers music from a variety of composers which somehow dovetails to form a beautiful, flowing album. From Sallinen's mystic title piece to Barber's Adagio, listeners will be exposed to a diversity of string pieces which mesh together wonderfully. Thorougly enjoyable.
