Vanessa is great, but I recommend the Zipless album from 1994. Most of those songs are Erica Jong's poetry set to music. My boyfriend, Andrew, turned me onto it and I love it and him...anyhoo. Get it on Amazon or anywhere now!

If you like Vanessa Daou you should definitely check out the track "Lovechild" on the album Breakfast Club Paris (not offered on iTunes, unfortunately, so research an alternate source). It's a beautifully sung song. In my opinion, the vocals on the Pain ep pale in comparison.

The actual title of this song is "A Little Bit Of Pain", which you can clearly see in the image of the single artwork. It's a shame iTunes doesn't offer anything else from Mrs. Daou. The entire album that this song is from - "Make You Love" - is absolutely entrancing. I also recommend Vanessa's first solo album, "Zipless", which is a collection of Erica Jong poems that Vanessa and her husband Peter put to their acid jazz sounds. Amazing work.
