Absolutely spectacular. I heard "Bottom of the River" in passing somewhere, and was struck by how powerful and minimalistic it was, enticing me to check out this amazing band I had never heard before. The rest of the album didn't fail to impress. This is simply good music, with real, actual talent behind it. The instrumentals enhance the vocals, rather than carrying them to hide weak singers like so much of today's pop music. Their gospel undertones really shine through without taking over and becoming too much, and you can hear every emotion in every song. "Bottom of the River" is dark and ominous, while "Fire" is angry and vengeful, and "Surrounded" and "Forgive the Children We Once Were" are so steeped in heart that they brought me to tears the first time I really sat down and listened to them. Take the time to really listen to this album, and you'll hear a rare blend of talent and passion that's often overlooked in favor of the manufactured glitz and artificial glamor of Hollywood.
Why is this not on Apple Music?

We just saw them live on New Year's Eve - you can't disguise talent when they play acoustic set within arm's reach of audience - great vibe - super powers - amazing musicianship

Delta Rae is my favorite band, and I have had this album for a while. When I first discovered this record, my life changed and it continues to do so with each listen! These six musicians bring listeners and attenders of their live shows fantastic rhythms, soulful and thought-provoking lyrics, and all-around fun! I’m eagerly awaiting their sophomore release and want to see them live many more times. Holding On to Good is one of my all-time favorite songs, but all of these tunes are genius. Please buy this album! :-)
Great live show!

Just saw this band last night in Newburyport, MA. They are performing as part of the River Music Fest. To say the performance was INSPIRED is grossly understating the talent and energy these kids displayed. I have purchased their music, and as the family DJ, will feature it for the Labor day gatherings planned this weekend (and those planned beyond that!).
Finally some good musicians!

I found out about Delta Rae on Paladia. I saw "fire" live and was pretty impressed.
The rest of the album has some really tight vocal harmony songs, which I really liked.
Rock on,
Love it!!!

I originally saw these guys perform on Conan last week and had to check out the rest of their album! It's officially my new favorite! I was so pleasantly surprised to find the rest of their album as great as their Conan performance of 'If I loved you'. If you're at all a fan of bands like Mumford and Sons, you'll like at least one of their songs.
Great Band!

I saw these guys live and I had to get the album. They sound awesome. I believe they are all individually talented and have a great harmony.
