I didn't like it when it came out, and still don't. Catalyst and Blackout are the only songs I like.

I listened to this recently, for the first time in a few years, and I actually really liked it.

I love this album so much. From start to finish, it’s a masterpiece. Maybe the songs on their own aren’t the best but as an album, couldn’t be better. Mike Shinoda is a genius
  • Ahead of its time. Experimental.

This album takes you on a beautiful journey thanks to its seamless transitions and subject matter. 11 years later, this album holds up extremely well. I definitely did not appreciate the album as much when it came out. The versatility of the band is on full display here. Highlights: Waiting for the End, Iridescent, The Catalyst, The Messenger. These songs can hold their own against any Linkin Park songs from Hybrid Theory or Meteora.

I feel like most of the people who are hating this album are hardcore death metal fans or people who only listened to clips of the songs because there’s no way you can hate on how beautiful this album is. It is absolutely amazing and flows in such a great way, while meteora and hybrid theory showed how great linkin park is, a thousand suns really proved that linkin park is a band that genuinely cares about what they put out. How dare people call them sell outs when they take risks like these (making a concept album) because they want to experiment and show evolution. If anything they deserve more praise and respect. The album is fantastic and I personally love Robot Boy which is serveerly underrated. It is very peaceful and speaks to me for some reason it’s actually my favorite song of all time so yeah. Definely worth a buy or at least a listen.

This is their most underrated album. As a whole it stutters in place but has some really great stuff if you give it a chance.
