I am utterly hooked on this recording. Since I purchased it a week or so ago, it's on every time I'm in my car, at my desk and in my headphones while I'm running. The melodies and hooks, the improvisation and Rob's sometimes calculated, sometimes unhinged piano solos keep drawing me back. I love the jazz piano trio/quartet ensemble, and this album scales heights previously achieved only by greats like Brubeck. The live version of Escher's Etude is pure jazz brilliance.

Enter the world of a master. TRUE is immersive, cinematic, stylish, and pristine. A landmark work, it not only stands the test of time, it sparkles and shines with its rare ability to sway your mood. As a longtime Rob Mullins fan, TRUE is one album I always come back to for its lush emotional range reflected solidly, both compositionally and in its star performances. A genuine sonic journey — highly structured and sharp as a tack in places, sweetly subtle and sublime in others, but always sincere — always TRUE.

Hey everybody, Rob here. I was very impressed with the musicianship of this ensemble. Any student wanting to understand about live jazz quartet playing and original songs should check out the fine job done by all the players and the recording engineer Bob Burnham. I mixed this album myself simply because there was no budget and I needed to up my mixdown chops. Enjoy!

The BEST Rob Mullin's album yet! Love the music especially "Goodbye Sun" & "See Jane Run". The photography is stunning as well!
