If not the best it's #2. All n All to me is the other album that matches this album front to back. I Am is third it's weakness is it drops off on the second half of the album. Still great music but feels more like quick put together filler to finish the album. Raise as most EWF Albums are greatly underrated and neglected by to many. Let's Groove has to challenge for greatest Pop, R&B, Funk song ever. Lady Sun for me hands down is the tightest song they have ever done. Them and the Phoenix Horns at their peak on this song and every time I listen to it I hear something new it's so complex. The energy just continues from there and the album sets you up perfect for the new direction to come with the last song Changing Times. Powerlight and Electric Universe are to follow Raise and Changing Times could be on either album. My one minor issue is not including the full version of Kalimba Tree on the original album but they fixed that on the remaster.
Let's groove, indeed!

The intro alone sets the tone for this classic EWF album. LET'S GROOVE TONIGHT is an all-time classic club cut, right up there with other jams like SHINING STAR. Bailey's falsetto on I'VE HAD ENOUGH and YOU ARE A WINNER are phenomenal, the band's sound is tight, and Maurice's production shows his musical genius. The whole album is great! RAISE is definitely my favorite EWF ever! If you are a young 'un curious about this legendary band, this is the album to start with. (Then get their original GREATEST HITS album, to go with it.) #RIPMauriceWhite

Does the itunes critic have any musical taste? This album stood out in 1981 because it was simply awesome

I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with the official review of this album. And apparently everyone else who rated this agrees with me that this album deserves a rating of 5 stars. Every single track is a hot groove. Brings me back to rocking out to the vinyl back in the day!
