The Night is a wonderful addition to Melanie C's The Sea era. The Sea, an ammalgamation of sounds reminiscent of her first solo offering Northern Star, was a wonderful fifth album to not only catapult Melanie inside markets she had not reached before, but also allowing her to maintain the same fan support and critical acclaim she has obtained through the fourteen years of her solo career.
This dance EP is a wonderful showcase of how many genres and themes Melanie dips her feet into whilst still connecting with its audience, time and time again.
Wonderful trifecta of tracks and highly recommended.
SIMPLY AMAZING!

LOVE! I'm surprised that Set You Free is the top selling song out of this little EP….don't get me wrong, i LOVE all 3 tracks, but currently I can't decide if my favorite is Sunrise or Walk Away…. something about the back drop in both songs…. anyways I'm just happy this exists and is available in the US.
I just can't get into these songs… at all

I loved The Sea but I was a little disappointed when I had heard that Melanie had left out the dance songs she had promised to deliver. Alas I became infatuated with the finished product anyway, and it became a favorite of mine along with most of her other albums.
Though when I heard that she was finally releasing those dancey songs as an EP, I was really excited. Now it has been a few days since they were released and I just don't really love any of these. I liked the Set You Free preview, but after purchase the whole song seems repetitive. Sunrise is ok but I'm not feeling it. Walk Away is probably my favorite of the three by default because it is the most Melanie-sounding of the bunch.
I doubt that any of these will find their way onto my Mel playlist, which has songs from every album and EP on it. This may be the first time I have ever been disappointed by Melanie. Think About It and Stupid Game destroy these songs. I'm very happy with how the Sea turned out especially now that I know it was spared from this.
I hate being disappointed, since I love her so much, but I can't help it. I am, however, glad that my fellow Mel C fans found something they are so in love with. I'm just sad that it doesn't touch me the same way.
FINALLY, good music!

Melanie is simply amazing. She has managed to blend her lovely voice with a hard hitting beat and amazing lyrics. She is showing why she is far better than Britney or Rihanna. They can't sing at all, but Melanie C can, and she writes her own music. I loved her album last year, and this is a great way to go mainstream again. She doesn't use auto-tune because she can't sing well, she uses it to amply her already marvolous voice. We love you MEL!
Orgasm for your ears !

Melanie C is back to her dance floor awesomeness! Hard to believe it's been 12 years since 'I Turn To You' but 'Set You Free' should be a #1 single for her. This EP is AMAZING!!!!!
