I dig 3 out of the 6 tracks, probably like Subject Matter a little bit more. I appreciate Homeboy for being wildly intelligent, not witholding or curttailing his knowlegde and creativity for the dim masses, and respecting his listeners. This should be on the front page for Hip-Hop in the Itunes store instead of all that hot garbage, but what can you do? Carry on, Brother.

This whole album is worth way more than $4 dollars . I must say the mood of this album is very appropriate an on time. "Illuminati" is hands down better than all of the albums out right now.

I wanted to wait til I read the liner notes before I posted a review but I gotta say something. All of the songs here have a spacey feel to them, sort of like "The Miracle" on Subject:Matter. "Look Out" even sounds similar to "Drive" by the Cars. If I didn't know better, I'd say that spacey sound is part of the concept of the whole EP. The wordplay here is some of the best I've ever heard in Hip Hop history, particularly on my favorite cut, "Illuminati". This song has the deepest, best wordplay on the EP, accompanied by the most hypnotic music, not to mention a name drop of Chuck D and Flavor Flav. "Hold Your Head" features some of that speedy MCin' that we've become accustom to from Boy Sand's earlier works like "The Carpenter" on The Good Sun. And when was the last time you heard a rapper say "Word to the Mother"? hmmm. At this price, it's a steal. Plus, you can go on his website and download the free bonus track "Chimera Out Now". 7 tracks, $4! This is easily 4.5 stars, maybe more once I read the liner notes. Not for everybody though, might be too deep for some, and it's lacking an upbeat banger. But I'm sure that will show up on his full length album.
