this release finds Mr. Hassell far out in the milky way with Sun Ra...and yet as earthy as Miles. I don't know of anyone else that could exist in that realm, and yet it's captured on this album! known for his treated horn---these songs strip away any characterization and reveal a timeless essence. Absolutely essential.
