I must admit that now looking back to when I first purchased this cd I was a bit dissapointed. But today I have a whole new respect for it having compared it to Rockaholic. Although this album never really saw the light of day upon its release it's still a worthy listen especially if you dig this style of music. This is a very fun album to play but most important is the songwriting style which is very reminiscent of their heyday particularly their first two records. It took me a while to get used to Jaimie filling in for Jani but now that Robert Mason is their frontman I prefer the direction on this album rather than their last. No disrespect to the guys or their musical talents, I just feel that Born Again sounds more like a Warrant record than Rockaholic. ....there I said it.

I actually prefer this to the bands material from their heyday. Great songs here....Dirty Jack, Roxy, Bourbon County Line, etc. The whole album has a sleazy 80's groove with great hooks. This almost reminds me of Ratt, rather than Warrant. Former Black n Blue vocalist Jaime St. James fills in admirably for the departed Jani Lane. This is just a fun album to crank in the car!
