When Roger Troutman passed away in 1999, the funk world was rocked. I know it was a sad day for me as I have been a Troutman fan for many years. But I also know, that Lester, Terry, and the rest of the Troutman family were saddened by Roger‘s death. Not only Roger’s loss of life, but larry’s loss of life as well. This group decided to make this album back by popular demand and say that the bounce is still there. I have met Terry Troutman in person. He is a wonderful gentleman and has a great sense of humor. He carries on the talkbox sound like his brother Roger does. I saw this group in concert in 2003 and was blessed to get an autographed CD. I still have it. Long live the Troutman legacy.

This one snuck in under the radar. Tracks 1 Thru 12 are hittin with jams especially Get Up Off The Wall a true club jam. Hope the Zapp band keep puttin out more studio albums. Here's a hint they should dig into the archives and come up with a live Zapp album. That would be bomb 2 here Roger live on that talk box. Supprisingly not many have heard Roger live on the talk box unless they've been to a Zapp concert in the past. Terry, Lester and the rest of the group can more than hold there own though. Keep Zappin.

As popular as Zapp remains till this day, how could it be that this recent work is not in print? It cannot be found anywhere (other than download). I'm glad I can get it by way of downloading nonetheless. Just to hear that Zapp sound alone is reason enough to download it but there are a number of jammin' tracks. This release is a surprising find. I didn't know there was any recent work from the Troutman family. It was released in 2002/2003 - just before Roger Lynch Troutman Jr's baffling death. This must have been his work. Roger Sr. would be proud.

By far the best song is You've Got Mail. Another good song though is Be With You Forever. ZAPP FOREVER!!!!!
