This is my absolute favorite Journey album, in terms of both songs and production. It is a tough sounding record, with plenty of bottom end and a good mix of guitars and keyboards. And not even one bad song, in my humble opinion. The more commercial songs are on the first half, while the edgier and for the most part heavier songs take up the second half. Separate Ways is a strong opening cut. My other favorite songs are Chain Reaction, Edge Of The Blade, Troubled Child and last but definitely not least Rubicon, possible my all time favorite Journey song. Great album!
