Kele has a voice and some good lyrics, but this lacks then energy of Bloc Party and some of the stuff on the Boxer.

I met Kele last year backstage at the Royale in Boston. Nice guy. Songs are creative with wonderful lyrics. Seems like he is finding his way more as a solo artist. The opening track is misleading, and should not be the opening track, but Kele is being nice and showing his loyalty and self-lessness. Has an almost Depeche Mode type feel. My favorite tracks are Cable's Goodbye, Devotion, and Love as a weapon. Miss the Bloc, but Kele is an undeniable talent and is my favorite artist even though my Genre is alternative heavy rawk. Bloc Party has got to be my favorite band no doubt. As its disappointing that the band hasn't put out any new music since 2008, Kele gives people a healthy taste of Bloc Party with a fresh upbeat tempo as well. I had to listen to the songs a few times to get used to the style, but once I did i fully enjoyed the EP. I hope Bloc Party releases some new music but if not I have no problem with Kele's solo material.
