This is a really good release of more Europe 72 music. I think the choices were great as each recording sounds perfect. The whole band is tight and the recordings showcase it. At $14.99 it is a steal. I paid a lot more for it on vinyl but that's my problem. I would "highly" recommend this!

This compilation is, what a junkie might say, just a taste. Just a taste to tide us Deadicated fans over until we can get our grubby little paws on the whole of the Complete Europe '72 boxset. I'm sure that the fans Deadicated enough to drop the money down for the boxset, already have most of the shows already on tapes. "Then why spend that much money on something you already own?" you ask? Presentation, friend, presentation! The Dead have always been great showmen and have furthermore proved the fact with the content of the boxset. The Tivoli shows from 1972 are complete masterpieces and another fine pinnacle reached in live music, as often reached on numerous occasions by the boys. I can say though, there was not ONE bad show or set for the whole of the Europe '72 tour, so justice is being done by releasing it all and not stopping short by releasing another compilation of the tour alone. This is just the tip, people!

Get it! The sonics are amazing. Jerry and the boys were clicking on all cylinders. The "Dark Star/Drums/The Other One" is worth the price of admission alone. This is a worthy counter part to the original Europe 72.
  • Great collection of songs from '72

Wonderful compilation here. Dark Star -> Drums -> The Other One sounds amazing. I'm not sure why there are people here trying to brag about having the box set, this album was pretty much made for those that didn't buy it, go review the box somewhere else. As others have said we all mostly love our shows compared to compilation stuff but this one is well worth giving a listen to.

22 discs, all complete shows of this tour....This tour is some of the best Dead I have ever heard....They were definitely crisp and running on all cylinders...Pigpen sounds great too! THE BOX is worth the money
  • Best Dead tour?

Was it the inspiration of olde Europe, or the fact that they were on best behavior with a new pianist, but everything that comes out from this tour is excellent. They seem so energetic and on point, even thier instruments stay in tune (which is a problem on many early live recordings). A true peak for a band that hung around about twenty years too long.

I'm not really one for Dead compilations. Give me the whole show or nothing.
  • A Good One !

Talk about flashbacks! Not much new here but some good stuff from when the boys were at their peak,in my opinion. Songs from Garcia's and Weir's solo effoorts, too. Get it and start dancin' !
