Dubstep Meets Dark Ambient Industrial

Usually, I find the type of distorted saw-tooth bass lines in most dubstep repetitive and uninspired, mainly because it doesn't fit with the bubblegum sound that is usually before it, but the dark ambiance and industrial grime in Mantis' BR108: All Worlds EP absolutely fits. The saw-like baselines and heavy reverb end up giving Mantis' songs a unique feel, like being trapped in a dark, sooty factory. All in all, this EP is pretty well executed, and well produced, with the stand out track being Alessa. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this artist, and I hope their career goes well. Maybe others will follow suit, at least one can hope.
