Lotus is the best

Lotus!! Another good lotus album.. Just what u expect.. Of course listening to these songs live is on a whole new level.. They just Keep coming up with new ways mixed with the old ways to just kill it!!

By far the worst album they have made. Just as someone else wrote, sounds nothing like there old material but in a bad way. Sounds like Lotus is trying to draw attention to hipsters now after listening to this album. See this band live and don't listen to this album because you may only hear one these songs at a show and it never fits within their sets.... they always have to stop and play em which i hate

I love this band and their music, so it is fair to say I am biased. This album is up there. Not ready to say it is their best...yet. Definitely worth the buy. Buy the whole album, so many great moments.

As a long time lotus fan, i wasn't sure how i'd feel about this album. But I've been listening to this album for about a week now, and for anyone who doesn't dig their new sound at first, give it time. It will grow on you. This album is incredibly solid. Each song flows into the next one perfectly, and the groove's in the songs make you wanna get up and dance. If you want proof of this, check out the songs blacklight sunflare and surf. And for anyone who went to the lotus new years the past two years, you'll recognize dowrn immediately. Lotus has done it again with another fantastic release, worthy of it's self-titled status. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Lotus has become Pretty Lights on this album.... it sounds nothing like them.... maybe it will grow on me but it's pretty disappointing

This is my first Lotus album so I cannot comment on how the band has evolved, but this album has some reference points I haven’t heard in a while. Think: William Orbit, Material, The Grid, or Bill Laswell. The bass and guitar work is half Bootsy Collins and half Robert Fripp. I am not sure I would place it in those ranks just yet, but it’s definitely a unique, energetic, funky, jam album that is just weird enough to keep things interesting. Good stuff.

I remember hearing these songs when they came to colorado and played at the fox and then red rocks, they just about melted my face off. A little different sound for these guys but all of it is SSSOOOOO GOOD!!!!! Had a chance to meet them after the show at red rocks waiting for a cab home and they are just so humble and appreciative for any support. BUY THIS ALBUM ITS A MUST FOR ANY LOTUS FAN, chowdah
