  • Music that Matched the Mood

Heard this album by accident while scrolling through the music catalog in Business Class traveling at 39000 feet over the Pacific. Two favorites worth noting that accentuated the mood: My Match is a Makin' with its wavy and upbeat melody, matched the hour-long turbulance, while Crann Ull was extremely soothing that I immersed myself back into the tune and forgot about the shaking and rolling. Tke these two songs onto a long (15-hr) flight - they are a good companion aside from ginger.
  • Irish Harp Lovers, this one is for you.

If only for "Hobnobs" (the bonus track) and "Carolan's Concerto", this album would be worth it. But, on top of the great harp artistry, you get to hear Moya Brennan and Cormac De Barra blend their harmonies and instruments seamlessly and effortlessly. "Harps and Voices" a very nicely balanced album with not too many lulls in the pace, which makes it nice for atmospherinc listening because it won't put you to sleep, but won't shake you up either. It's also very warm and personal in it's sound, which makes it feel like you are sitting in the room with them. And, in my opinion, that's how Irish music should feel. This will definitely be on my high rotation playlist.
