  • Harpsicords, anyone? . . . . .

Now I can't say anything about the movie, really, not having seen it, but I can be pretty sure when I say that Steve Jablonsky's score is way more than the movie deserves. This score is brilliant! It's adventurous at times and it can be also achingly beautiful. I must have played Isabel the Strong two dozen times since downloading the album yesterday--it sounds like everything "lost and wonderful and sad". I wonder, though, if I'm the only one who thinks this score is better suited to a pirate adventure than a mediaeval comedy? Perhaps it's the use of harpsicords.

Steve Jablonsky never seems to disappoint me. In this very original, beautiful and work of art score, it changed how I thought of him. Listening to this score will amaze you in every way. You wouldn't expect this type of work from him. It is sweet when it needs to be, funny when it has to be (The Greatest Most Beautiful Love Song In All The Land), and uplifting which it is. This is a special piece of work from Jablonsky, and should be treasured. If you're a Jablonsky fan, then I guarantee you no disappointment if you purchase this score. It's a new type of score (from Steve) you will enjoy greatly.
