A little darker album

Most lyrics are said to have been written by Eddie. I think this was a turning point unexpectedly in the career. However yes some of the re releases with out takes on addition does make it a better album. A few songs on this album likely have a reason. George W took a lot out on own people let alone assume and stop pj and other artists for “activism” there were several. Some artists albums that had nothing to do with government held back and packaged with if you purchase this album you may be considered anti American which if you listen to it it had nothing negative mostly tecno type music actually written on a piano 911 era.
With pj doing benefits for veterans they were forced to halt helping peacefully our USA citizens in Iraq so really not sure but every once in a while if people do not pay attention other people are harmed about the same timeframe I have a 10 club release explaining some lyrics that doesn’t give who or why. Likely with George W could not. Keep going pj
First two albums..brilliant

Can’t say that for the rest. This album has 4 decent songs. Makes me wonder they were thinking when deciding what to put on this album.

Good album but, extremely overhyped. Not their best. In respect to Pearl Jam, I would have ended the album with Immortality and left Stupid Mop off. It became a Revolution 9 on the record. The follow up album is in my opinion their best album. You can see the Neil Young and Mudhoney influence on that one. This album right out of the gates is a blast of noise but, you can tell fame was taking its toll on the band. I remember buying it and waiting in a long line next to college kids and people who looked like they would have otherwise never heard of Pearl Jam if it weren’t for MTV. There are a few gems on this: Immortality, Satan’s Bed, Corduroy, and of course Better Man. 4 stars.

Not much vitality in this one. An unfocused mess.

This was the last great album with hooks and their best drummer Dave Abbruzzese. Eddie went full SS and a control freak since...
Better with time

When it came out, I have to admit it was not my favorite by Pearl Jam. Now that I'm older I love this album. I think I had to mature musically. If that doesn't sound to strange.
Good

This used to be my second favorite PJ album, but now it's actually one of my least favorites. They have better ones. It's still a great album though. Last Exit, Tremor Christ, Nothingman, Whipping, Satan's Bed, and Immortality are my favorites. Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me (aka Stupid Mop) might actually be one of my favorites as well. I don't really care for Spin the Black Circle though. Everything else is good. It's not a fantastic album, but it's very good.

Title explains it all. Some of my favorite songs ever hide in this album. To be honest, 1994 was a great music year (aside from Cobain's suicide). I see that they took the liberty of taking out Hey Foxyhandlemama, That's Me on this version. Consider yourself lucky
