This is a marvelous recording that is worth having. I really like the label's effort in having the best recordings possible. I can not seem to download the digital booklet that comes with this though, thus I would give Apple a less than stellar rating for their failure to properly manage music purchases.

I just listened to Mozart String Quartet number 4 played by the Jerusalem Quartet with my two year old daughter. We both enjoyed it so very much, and for a two year old to be mesmerized.. it takes a talented group. I wish Mozart himself could hear these guys play, because that is what he intended it to sound like. I highly recommend this album!

The is the first album I bought from the group. I have a small ensemble playing a Mozart piece I wanted them to hear example. From the first I was amazed by the groups passionate and the spirit the put in the pieces they play. I now own 4 of their CDs. Just amazing. Highly recommend these guys.
  • Another masterpiece from the masters

The Jerusalem Quartet, when rendering the works of the old masters, never fails to disappoint. In this album, as in their recordings of Haydn and Schubert, its members give spirited performances that transmit a spirit and feel above and beyond the notes and rhythms the composers set down on the page. Coupled with Harmonia Mundi's usual excellent recording techniques, which give these collections of 0's and 1's a sound as close as I can recall to the first play of an LP on a fine hi-fi system, this is a recording worth two or three times its price. This recording is as fresh on my 50th listen as it was on the first. The digital booklet is a plus too: I wish more iTunes recordings would offer these equivalent of the old liner notes.
