Unlike most of Juno Reactor's other releases, this one isn't quite as edgy or epic in sound. Aside from the opening track "High Energy Protons," most of the songs are slower, more low-key. That said, as an album, Transmissions is a fantastic array of deep-space themed beats that are both subtle, and invigorating. Highlights include: "High Energy Protons," "Contact," "Laughing Gas," "Man to Ray," and if you enjoy slow, mesmerizing electronic beats, "Acid Moon" is pretty good too.
