One of my most frequently played tracks is the radio mix version! Can't get enough of it. By pulling apart the harmonies and putting them back together .... with various times of the evening beat mixes, Big Yellow Taxi comes alive even more. Great party music!!

Totally agree with the first reviewer. Some masterpieces should not be allowed to be copied (remaster, boogieized, tribalized, clubbed, etc.) ---even by the master. For God's sake Joni, don't go down as the Salvador Dali of classic folk rock......

I'm buying this EP because anything that makes someone as humorless and resistant to new ideas as the first reviewer here mad, is probalby pretty good. Even if you don't like remixes, it doesnt' do Joni much credit to assume that she'd be afraid of having her songs creatively rearranged. Her music changed alot after Blue, dude, don't get stuck in the past.

I'm a huge Joni fan, and it's great to see one of her most bare-bones, pure, sparsely arranged songs get new dresses to try on. Nothing beats the original of course, but these remixes are sweet to fall into and get lost in.
  • Joni Takes Control...

I have to strongly disagree with the first review of this song-variation album. Joni Mitchell has never allowed anything she has done to be released without her stamp of approval in some way shape or form. I believe she did this album rather tongue in cheek to show how a classic can be "remixed"...and who better to do it than the artist herself. Again this is Joni showing her versatility as an artist and yes businesslady as well...kudos Joni...and your use of the children's sketch pretty much addresses the audience it's intended for....innocent but with much to learn.
  • AWFUL ABUSE OF A CLASSIC JONI SONG...JUST AWFUL!!!!!

Joni Mitchell obviously had no control or ability to stop this- Big Yellow Taxi has been abused commercially several times over the years but this remix EP is by far the absolute worst! Artists like Joni just don't belong remixed, what is next? the extended dance version of river or blue...pathetic- She is such a remarkable singer/songwriter since she retired a few years back Warner Bros. have done everything they can to abuse her catalog for profit. The themed retrospectives were actually a nice gesture but these remixes are horrific, If I could give this a minus 5 stars I would- Don't waste your money, If you new to joni's music download her album blue it is by far her best and a must have for every collection.
