I really love this soundtrack. A lot. Wicked Flee and Ride to death, though they sound similar, are my favorites. Only complaint would be how short the songs are; but the beautiful music makes up for it I suppose.

Simple. Serves the film. I'll leave the rest to people who are better with words.

One of the most beautiful film soundtracks I have ever heard. The academy should have invented a new category just so they could give this soundtrack an award.

The movie and soundtrack are incredible my favorite songs are river crossing, and one against four. River crossing reminds me of an adventure and one against four reminds of a classic western fight.
  • Heartrending

If you watch this movie and listen to the music, and are not reduced to tears at the end, then your heart must be made of stone. Burwell's arrangements of these classic southern gospel tunes captures the emotion and heartbreak of the journey of the Mattie Ross character in the movie from beginning to end to a "T". Outstanding!
