Hitoshi Sakamoto and Masaharu Iwata tapped an Australian-based group of classical musicians to assist in playing most of the songs, and the result is a satisfying classically-based soundtrack for a medieval fantasy strategy game. The Tactics Ogre soundtrack benefitted from having real brass and woodwind instruments, making the music sound more dramatic than if they employed just synthesizers.
