Doc came to my school this past week and, for an 83 year old man, he can still play better than most people can on their best day ever. This album isn't your "average" Doc. Gil and Cartas are extremely talented and with Doc next to them, they have a sound that the loyal Doc Severinsen fan may not recognize. That's not to say that it's lacking any quality - they are fantastic! This album pays tribute to many parts of the world - Mexico, Argentina, and many other South American countries, and not to mention even the USA with Sonny Rollins' "Pent-Up House." The concert was amazing and this album is even better. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to hear a living legeng still playing great.
