i don't have the best resources for filtering through the best of classical music but this was a wonderful find. a great paring. i can hear the tradition as well as a familiar contemporary (even jazzy) notes. well done ladies!

After listening to this CD, I can't believe it took me so long to embrace Russian music. Beautifully performed by two amazingly talented women, Wendy Warner and Irina Nuzova, you will not want the CD to end. Cello Sonato No. 2 in A minor, Op 81, will literally take your breath away. I have also now become a fan of Rachmaninov. Who knew? Thank you ladies. Job well done!
