The best thing Laurie has done since United States 1-4 or Big Science. It has me captivated. This has been on repeat play for days. It feels like the noise of modern music just stopped for a while.

OH so refreshing because I missed the inspiration from the albums like "Bright Red" This is a really mature blend of her work and is very satisfying. Love it....

If you don't know Laurie Anderson then you are missing something unique in music She cool and funny, off beat and electronic; she's New York meets the future. She is smart, sardonic and provocative - she always has been. These aren't silly pop love songs, not that there is anything wrong with that, this is music that forces you to listen to the words and makes you think. This is a critique on America from someone who has seen it with a sceptical eye and razor wit and who possess the poetry and melody to make it into song. But in the end, it is the cool sounds she invents that make it all work.

Pure Laurie. It is hard to rate a creative God. This album makes me cry it is so beautiful. There are very few of her on the planet. She really did it on this one. Wow... I have EVERYTHING she has ever done... twice... just for back up. This IS the best! "Another Day In America"... is just mind blowing! Chilling! Thank you Laurie! Love X=X

"Concentration... Empty your mind. Let the rest of the world go by." Laurie Anderson is an artist you can always trust not to fritter away your time. Full attention will be rewarded. Delicate sonic structures rise and fall. Not a word is wasted. Ear and mind are tickled aware. All that, and she's a real pisser, too. Drop the 11 bucks. Have a seat and ride Homeland open-to-close. Trust her. Can't afford it right now? Sigh... "Only an Expert" is probably this album's "O Superman," but come back for the rest once the experts have solved the problem...

Apparently the only deluxe feature is the ability to purchase songs individually. If "that's all there is" I'll purchase the standard audio edition or purchase the media rich version directly from Nonesuch. Disappointing!
