I call them the anything band because they can do anything from movie scores, remakes, instrumentals or anything else you can think of and make it sound like they invented it. Just such a tight and experienced band. Effortlessly. This album start to finish in any order is a masterpiece. One of the best albums I have ever listened to......... A thousand times. Keep 'em comin fellas. Thank you!

I swear, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are getting better with age. Cant say that for many other bands. I love the sound of the album,.

Pay no attention to the negative reviews. TP and the HB are legendary, and MOJO rocks out in true TP form. If you're a fan it's a definite buy! Love it.

In this "thrown together" collection, Petty can't seem to decide in which direction to go musically........ and unfortunately, the directions in which he goes are the wrong ones.

This is their best album in years. Not to say that the others werent great but I love this one. Its got its own blues twang to it. And anybody who gives this a one star you have bad taste in music.
  • Great classic rock style

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are like a fine wine, they only get better with age. Mike Campbell is in top form and the songs are just plain fantastic! Keep up the great work!

First let me start by saying I usually don't write reviews. I am a firm believer that the general masses have no idea what good music is, how else could you explain the likes of Nickleback, Lady GaGa, all of today's so called country music, and on and on? I've been a Petty fan since "Damn the Torpedo's". I've ran hot and cold on some of his stuff, so I'm not a "mouthbreather" over everything he's done, but he has had an impressive career. In the face of some of the worst music existing since the early 80's, big hair, keyboard infested radio, Tom Petty has reached in his rock pocket and pulled out, (yes, I'm going to say it) his Mojo! I'm thinking that Tom's recent project with his childhood band, "Mudcrutch" must have p*ssed off the Heartbreakers, because they have answered with a vengence. I've always known that Mike Campbell was a totally underated guitar player, but I can honestly say, I didn't realize he was that much of a bad@ss! Showing his stuff with his usual haunting, bluesy, reverb laden hooks is expected, but laying down the law with shades of Led Zepplin, Bob Marley, J.J. Cale, etc..., was quite a surprise to me. I'm sure that I'm not giving enough credit to the likes of Scott Thurston at this point. If you read the credits, it's Scott that's playing the resonator guitar, harmonica, and other instruments that scream Mississippi Delta! All I can say is if you love American roots rock music, this is a must for your collection! I believe this is the best album of "real" rock since Black Crowes, Warpaint. Buy it, you won't be sorry. Rock on.
